HYROX Performance

ProDouble-119.JPEG

For athletes who don’t just want to complete HYROX, but want to deliberately develop their performance.

HYROX Performance is a structured, long-term training system for athletes who want to improve across all key areas: running, strength, endurance, movement efficiency and HYROX-specific resilience.

The program combines targeted training stimuli with a flexible structure that can be adapted to your current performance level, daily life and race calendar.

THE PROGRAM AT A GLANCE

  • Year-round training structure for continuous performance development

  • Systematic development of endurance, strength, speed and hybrid performance

  • HYROX-specific training with a focus on race transitions and fatigue resistance

  • Flexible training management based on training phase and race goals

  • Progressive development instead of random workouts

  • Integrated recovery to maintain long-term performance

TRAINING STRUCTURE

6 training days per week form the foundation of the program.
Depending on the training phase and individual performance level, additional sessions can be integrated.

Key focus areas:

  • 2 running sessions

  • 2–3 strength or functional training sessions

  • HYROX-specific hybrid sessions

  • Compromised Running

  • Technique & Skills

  • Recovery and active recovery

RUNNING DEVELOPMENT

Running is the foundation of strong HYROX performance. That is why the program includes a variety of running stimuli:

  • Easy runs

  • Long Runs

  • Controlled Z2 sessions

  • Threshold Runs

  • Tempo Intervals

  • Longer intervals around LT1/LT2

  • Short and medium intervals

  • VO₂max sessions

  • Development of running economy and speed

Compromised Running

  • Running under accumulated fatigue

  • Combination of Running + Functional Movements

  • Race-specific pacing and transitions

STRENGTH & FUNCTIONAL PERFORMANCE

The goal is to develop strength and be able to apply it under high metabolic stress.

Training includes:

  • Squats & Deadlifts

  • Lunges

  • Sled Push & Sled Pull

  • Farmer’s Carry

  • Wall Balls

  • Thrusters

  • BBJ

  • Sandbag Work

  • Ski & RowErg

The focus is on maximal strength, strength endurance, movement efficiency and resilience.

HYROX-SPECIFIC TRAINING

Running and functional movements are strategically combined.

The focus is not only on individual exercises, but especially on:

  • Pacing

  • Transitions

  • Running technique under fatigue

  • Station strategy

  • Load management

  • Race Pace

  • Mental and physical resilience

TRAINING PHASES

The program does not remain the same throughout the year. Training priorities change according to your race calendar, creating a targeted progression instead of constant maximal load.

WHO IS HYROX PERFORMANCE FOR?

For athletes who want more.

The program is designed for:

  • ambitious HYROX athletes

  • experienced athletes with competitive goals

  • Intermediate athletes who want to get faster through structured training

  • athletes with multiple races throughout the season

  • athletes who want to develop their individual performance over the long term

Not every training session needs to be maximal.
But every training session should have a purpose.
